Laguna Waterpark Dubai for ultimate water fun

Before you start reading this post I have to tell you that I haven’t been to Laguna Waterpark Dubai myself yet. But it won’t be long before I will! My sons and their friends go totally crazy over this latest attraction of Dubai. Even before the park was officially opened to the public, they all slipped off the slides and tested the rides. According to them, the designer is a  creative mind and the water activities are super cool.

The Laguna Waterpark Dubai has a lounge pool with a bar, a children’s zone, a lazy river and a tower with 5 water slides. The descents are long, fast and spectacular and according to the kids even better than the ones in my favourite water park in Abu Dhabi. They especially like the flush, as they nick name the ride on a raft sliding with surprising twists and turns through a dark tunnel. ‘You really have to try that one out!’ they call in unison. ‘It gives this funny feeling in your tummy when you experience zero-gravity just before splashing down in the pool’.

But the best attraction according to them is the Ultimate Surf Machine. This is a semi-circle with waves to surf on. While the kids can only wave board on their belly and knees yet, they already look forward to the time that they can make impressive jumps like the super stunters. ‘You just have to bring us to the water park more often’, they say with a big wink to each other.

Laguna Waterpark Dubai

The Laguna Waterpark Dubai is located at the end of the promenade of La Mer in Dubai. Compared to other water parks in the United Arab Emirates it is not that big, but it’s diverse and different. You can have a drink at the pool bar while overlooking the sea or watch the breathtaking view over the impressive skyline of the city decorated with colourful Street Art. And you can even enjoy real waves rolling over your feet during a stroll over the sandy beach.

A day pass costs 99 Dirhams for residents when booked online or 125 Dirhams at the door. Tourists pay 159 Dirhams. I really like the fact that Laguna Waterpark offers a day pass that’s still valid after leaving the park. This way you can grab a healthy lunch in one of the many restaurants along the La Mer boulevard and go back for a few more hours of ultimate water fun.
Tickets can be ordered via the official website of the Laguna Waterpark Dubai.
